Bought these Logitech speakers for use around the house and on holiday. Work on batteries (x4) or mains (mains plug supplied). They are a good size approx 23cm wide and 8cm high, so compact. Good thing is though is the output from them. A great sound with suprising bass and loud enough for most I would say. The Bass Boost button does what it says and gives it a nice thump. Funky looking I think as well !

I was looking around for ages for a cheap but effective iPod charger and player, and I am very glad to have stumbled upon this one. My iPod nano is constantly running out of juice, and this little beauty allows me to listen while charging, ready for my long walk to and fro work each day.
You get the unit itself, plus a mains adapter. The cord is fairly long, so you're able to plug it in near the floor yet place the unit on a table. It takes 4 x AA batteries for those times you want to take it caravanning with you or whatever, which isn't too bad.
It is small and light, yet aesthetically quite pleasing. The size means it is easily transportable, and I'm tempted to bring it into work for those occasions where I have the office to myself. Despite the feeling of lightness, it seems to be relatively sturdy, not like those electronic items that feel light and cheap.
The port on the top allows me to attach my nano securely, and although I've caught my nano with my elbow occasionally, the unit is light enough that the whole thing rocks back instead of ripping the nano out of the socket and potentially damaging it. That's definitely a design plus!
The speakers are too close together to get a real feel for stereo, but the quality of the sound, considering the size and price, is very good indeed. It's never going to set the world on fire, but it's perfect for when you're stuck for tunes while doing the dishes or, like I'm doing now, listening to music while at my desk PC.
It can reach quite high volumes, and despite a little bit of vibration in the speakers, it still sounds good. The bass booster button increases the quality of the sound still further, although that is the only way to mess with the output. If you want to change various levels you'll have to rely on what your iPod can do.
It definitely works best on pop/rock - the sound on the Queens of the Stone Age live album is quite impressive. I've tried a few piano concertos and string quartet numbers, and the sound is adequate, but again won't set the world on fire.
However, for thirty notes, this is perfect if all you're after is a device to both charge and play, and can easily take on holiday with you. I love it!

Bought this as a Xmas pressie for my daughter to use with her Nano 4g. I am very impressed, and so was my daughter. The sound quality and volume are extremely good (there was a little distortion noticeable at the highest volume, but this may have been due to what the unit was sitting on at the time). A big plus is that, when powered from the mains, it charges the Nano. The only negative is that there is no handle by which to carry the unit, which would have been useful, but it is easily carried cradled in a hand and can be thrown in a bag anyway. Compared to other units (such as the Intempo IDS10) the sound quality is at least as good and volume more than adequate for an average sized room (it easily filled a 30ft square room). Highly recommended.

Another Logitech quality product.
Compact, clean design , easy to operate but the best part is THE SOUND !
I do not know how such a 'Bassy' tone can come from such a small unit.
And it charges the iPod as well !
Well done Logitech. Its Stunning.

Nice, portable size. Great sound and decent bass.
I also loved the reduction in price - if you want speakers just for your room to listen to music I would greatly recommend these. They were a present for a friend and she loves them!
