Bought this in silver for my 10 year old son for his bedroom. It is perfect for him. Neat design and cool to look at. The sound is a bit tinny - I would maybe want a better quality if it was my main docking station. However, for my son's bedroom it is absolutey fab and he is more than happy. Used it with batteries to start with but they soon wore out so have bought the 9v adaptor and it will now also charge the ipod. Would definitely recommend!
Have since bought my own ipod & speakers in green. Tip - these are cheaper on ebay!!

This is a great system for the price and brilliantly portable. My daughter slipped it into her suitcase for her holiday and it was loud enough for a small birthday party. Obviously expensive speakers give better sound quality, but this is perfectly adequate for a small room and better than we expected for the price. My daughter loves the girly colour, too.

I bought these for my grand-daughters birthday and for the price I wasn't expecting much in the way of sound quality, but these were surprisingly good! Not hi-fi but entirely adequate for a less discerning ear and extremely portable.

Purchased a pink, a silver and a black AD-05 to go with the iPod Nano 3s that my children got for Xmas. Sound is as good as £20+ speakers but of course similar to these the AD-05 can be "tinny" at high volumes. Note that to charge the iPod you need a 9V supply - any less than 9V and the iPod will not charge - however the speakers will play OK at just 4V+. A USB A plug to DC input lead is included so you can power the AD-05 using this cable plugged into almost any USB A socket - however as most USB power supplies are less than 9V you probably won't be able to charge the iPod using this cable. Used a multi-voltage and multi-plug DC mains adapter to get the 9V - about £6 on Amazon
